Welcome, I am Emmanuel Previ, since I was a little boy at the age of three, I started to draw with my grandfather, who tried to teach me one techniques although I was still very young. Then in time I continued in this course at school and was involved in competitions, both with local Maltese children and adults, as well as with international children in Japan, which resulted in my winning a Cooper Award at the age of 12..
From that age onwards I continued to study at the Society of Arts, Manufactures & Commerce with Teacher & Scuplturer Angelo Agius. In 1987 I was awarded my first Prize in art and in 1988 obtained a Merit. Afterwards I refined my art by personal experience.
Many of my works are not only displayed in my native land, but are represented in Japan, Russia, America,Brasil, India, Canada, Australia and throughout most European Countries.
In these last years i’ve been appreciated not only by Maltese and Gozitans, but by many foreigners who love art.
A genre of painting in which I am becoming well known is that of depicting Maltese and Gozitan scenes. One can also see how I express myself well in surrealism, as I show my best while using bright and high spirited colours and various techniques. Most of my works are oil paintings, but I also like to work using pencil and charcoal.
